This gold medal of the Vatican was minted in 1998 and is the seventh in the series. Inaugurates the third trilogy dedicated to the Trinity. The beautiful art gallery of the Vatican Museums, preserve this magnificent Transfiguration of the great Raphael (1483 - 1520), painted in homage of this medal. It is great altarpiece and it is the artist's latest work completely signed. At the top of the painting is represented the Transfiguration of Christ on Mount Tabor. This image according to a solicitation of the Pope, is an invitation to reflect on the person of Christ, the Son of God made man.
